Kai Linke studied Architecture at the University Of Technology in Darmstadt, Germany in 2001 to 2002. In 2005 he received the scholarship of the German National Academic Foundation. In 2006 Kai did an internship at studio Makkink & Bey in Rotterdam. In 2008 he worked as a freelancer for artists Tomas Saraceno and Studio Tobias Rehberger. One year after his successful studies he founded the Studio Kai Linke in 2009. His field of activities includes objects for Public Places; Exhibition- and Interior Design as well a design of lights and furniture for international brands. In 2009 and 2010 he was nominated for the category „Newcomer“ at the „Designpreis der Bundesrepublik Deutschland“. His work was presented at several national and international exhibitions and fairs.
Johannes Hemann studied product design at the School of Art and Design in Offenbach am Main, Germany. During his studies he spent one semester at the Department of Product Design at Kingston University in London. In 2011 Hemann opened his eponymous design studio and almost immediately received international attention for his innovative and playful interpretations of traditional design forms. Hemann’s designs have been exhibited in Berlin, Milan, Tel Aviv, London, Basel, New York and Tokyo, among other venues. In 2012 he was nominated as Young Designer of the year by the German Design Awards, and he was nominated twice for Design Newcomer of the Year in Germany, in 2010 and 2011.
